Happy Birthday America!

We had a wonderful 4th of July today!  We started off the morning painting Handley's finger nails "July colors" as she likes to say.  Red and blue fingers and toes to celebrate America's birthday! Then girls changed from their PJ's to their bathing suits and enjoyed running through the sprinkler for a little while.  Shortly after that Harper made her way next door to help Calvin and his Daddy wash their car.

Meanwhile, Handley was insuring that she wouldn't get a sunburn while caking sunscreen on her face and then helped Robby give Sydney a bath.

After a relaxing afternoon we had big plans with our neighbors.  A cul-de-sac cookout, kids riding their bikes, and fireworks were the original plan.  However, because of the rain that fun had to get changed up a bit.  We spent part of the evening indoors and the rest of the time squeezing on the porch for a "porch party" as we watched Mark shoot off a few fireworks.  The kids still had fun though and loved getting to see all of their friends.
