First Day of Summer Break at SunTrust Park

We spent the kids' first day of summer break at the ball park!  We just love having SunTrust Park so close to home and it was an afternoon game so I got tickets and took the kids.

I never would have taken them by myself to the old stadium, but this one is so close and so safe that I didn't think twice about it.

Our seats were great...right behind home plate and we loved cheering on our Braves.  It wasn't the greatest game and they lost pretty bad, but it was still lots of fun.

We spent some time exploring the museum area where the kids could see all sorts of memorabilia from over the years.  Hudson loved this!

After watching most of the game we made our way to the kid zone so they could play some games.  Unfortunately, we didn't realize they would start closing some of the attractions down early before the game ended, so they didn't get to try zip lining or the batting cages there.

They still had tons of fun though and love the arcade style games.  Every winner got to choose from a few prizes and the girls both one so they got Hudson a pendant for his room and Braves socks!

It was such a beautiful day and the perfect way to kick of our summer break.

End of School, End of Soccer

We've really been enjoying our summer and I've unintentionally taken a break from this blog, but want to catch up and share all of the fun.

The girls got out of school just before Memorial Day.  They both had such a great year with wonderful teachers and I'm shocked that how quickly the school year passed by.  However, we were so ready for summer and couldn't wait for a break from school.

Harper made lots of great friends this year and sadly one of them will be moving away in just another week or so.  Makes us all sad!

The girls had a fun last day of school and we celebrated as they got off the bus with water balloons before heading to go swimming for the afternoon.

The week before school got out soccer also wrapped up for the season.  The girls played in their first tournament and it was cut short by some bad weather, but they did amazing.

Going into the second day they were tied for first place so they got awarded champion medals!  Her sweet coach did an awards presentation after their tryouts for next year and all the girls were so happy!
