Harper - 18 months

Sugar and spice and everything nice.  That's what little girls are made of.  

That saying could not describe Harper any better at 18 months old.  She is strong willed and stubborn, but at the same time can be such a sweetheart and loves to cuddle.  She is FULL of personality and I'm not kidding when I say she doesn't meet a stranger. She's a little social butterfly and everyone loves her. She picks certain people and clings to them immediately.  She is happy to crawl into most anyone's lap to cuddle (neighbors, friends, and even a random lady at story time).

At 18 months she:

• Is full speed ahead all the time and is like a little tornado moving from one thing to the next.  
• Doesn't walk anywhere.  Instead she takes off running which usually causes her to fall a lot.
• Is so tough! Every time she falls down she says "woah", stands up, brushes off her hands, and keeps on running.
• Loves to pester her big sister.  Knows exactly what buttons to push to mess with her and get her worked up.  When I call her on it she just looks up innocently with her big blue eyes. This has earned her the loving nick-name of "little stinker." 
• Loves to play with her big sister.  Gets so excited about picking her up from school or getting her up in the morning.
• Names all extended family members and all of our close friends
• Is like a little parrot and copies everything we say. Her vocabulary is growing like crazy.
• Says "tuu-tuu" (thank you) unprompted when given something.
• Can be quite sassy and loves to tell me "no". 
• Loves to cuddle when she is sleepy first thing in the morning.
• Enjoys playing with baby dolls, dressing up in bead necklaces, and puts things in bags to carry around with her. 
• Likes to dance, sing and be silly with Handley.
• Is great at following directions and unless she is in a stubborn mood she will usually do exactly what I ask of her. 
• Has an opinion of what clothes and shoes she wants to wear and insists on a bow each day. 
• Loves to brush her teeth.
• Drinks more water than any kid I've ever seen. She loves to drink water! 
• Likes to EAT!!! 
• Enjoys playing outside and is thrilled when she gets to be around friends.  
• Is obsessed with any kind of buckles (car seat, stroller, grocery cart, etc.) and is happy to play in the car with her car seat buckles for as long as I'll let her. 
• Constantly has a smile on her face. :-)
