18 month check-up

Today was Harper's 18 month check-up.  She got a few shots and they both got the flu shot.  Handley was thrilled with the idea of getting a shot (until it actually happened) so that she could get a band-aid.  Harper wasn't as excited.  She finally calmed down when it was time to get a treat out of the toy machine they have (all kids who get a shot get a token to pick a prize).  That completely distracted her and she was totally fine...until she looked down to watch the bouncy ball prize and happened to catch a glimpse of her band-aids.  That caused her to burst into tears again. Ha!

Here are her stats:
weight - 24 lbs 12 oz (60th percentile)
height - 32 1/4 inches (75th percentile)
head - 18 1/2 inches (55th percentile)

After lunch we went to our favorite lunch spot, McEntyre's, to have lunch with Jen and to pick out a treat for being so brave at the doctor.  Notice Handley showing off her band-aid.  That's the only way I could get her interested in taking a picture.

Last night Robby was lucky enough to get tickets to the final Braves game of the season.  He brought tomahawks home for the girls and this morning they were both doing the tomahawk chop around the house.  Then Handley said something that has made me laugh all day.  She picked up both tomahawks and said, "Look, I have two Oh-ers."  (For those who know how the tomahawk chant goes, you'll get a chuckle out of why she called the tomahawk and "oh-er".)

What ped do you go to? We have new insurance and ours isn't covered (super bummed) so I need a good substitute for the interim. :/

Look at how much older Harper looks now than she did in that picture on the sidebar with her tutu. *Sigh*

The bright spot is that she is every bit as pretty as she's ever been!
