Countdown to Summer

Another week has come and gone and I'm even more excited for this Friday than usual.  The official countdown to summer has begun and with only 2 1/2 weeks left we are getting really excited.  The other really exciting thing is that we are that much closer to moving in the new house!  Like, it should happen this month.  I'll use Hudson's new favorite phrase for that great news...."Whew Hew" (aka- woo hoo)!!! (And, that is exactly how he says it - in the most southern accent possible).

I'm still filling my weeks by volunteering in the kids classrooms and driving what feels like an endless carpool.  In between that I'm trying to wrap up last minute things for the house.

On Monday afternoon the kids and I had the pleasure of waiting for our appliances to be delivered.  You know how they give you a window, and then they call to push back that window because they are running behind, and then they are still late.  That happened.  Thankfully, it was a beautiful afternoon so the kids enjoyed sitting outside in the driveway working on homework and coloring while we waited.  After about an hour, Robby came to take my spot so I could get the kids on home.

Hudson didn't mind at all though and kept himself very entertained by finding sticks and applying lots of stickers to his shirt.

Wednesday made for a really fun day.  After trying to go on a run that Hudson didn't want to sit in the stroller for and then trying to shop for a couch that he didn't want to be shopping for with me, we picked up Harper from school and met Jen, Parker and Mackenzie for lunch.  Those kids sure did give the nice people in the restaurant a show.  We ate as quickly as possible and removed ourselves as quickly as possible.  They had fun playing outside on the sidewalk until it was time to go get Handley though.

Later that day we went to a birthday party for one of Handley's friends.  The kids had the BEST time.  It was a really long day and you would have never known Hudson didn't have a nap that day (until it was time to go).  I just loved this picture of the three of them.  Even though it's blurry, you can still see the pure joy going on during the dance party part of the party.
