Wedding Bells

Trey and Stefanie's wedding was absolutely perfect.  Stefanie was a beautiful bride, Trey looked very handsome in his tux and together they make a gorgeous couple.  As we stood aside watching them have their pictures taken it looked like a photo-shoot for a bridal magazine.

Handley had a big job during the wedding.  She was the "honorary flower girl."  She was very excited to wear her pretty dress, carry her flowers, and walk down the aisle with Mimi.  I'm so happy she got to be a part of their wedding and feel like it was so special for them to include her.

The wedding didn't start until 7:30, which is normally when Handley is getting her bath and winding down for the night.  She didn't take a nap on Saturday and after going to bed so late the night before, she was running on hyper, tired energy.  The plan was for her to walk down the aisle with my mom and then sit with Gigi and Papa in case they needed to take her out during the ceremony.  I'm so happy we stuck with that plan!  She got to see everyone walk in, including Stefanie and then they walked around the parking lot during the rest of the ceremony.  It had been such a long two days for her and sitting still and quiet was just not going to happen.

A blurry picture, but you can see her walking down the aisle here
During the ceremony she, Gigi and Papa took a tour of the parking lot. They found Trey and Stefanie's get-away car!

The reception was gorgeous!!!  We had a delicious dinner and that was followed by lots of dancing.  Handley stayed until dinner was over and then went home with Gigi and Papa to spend the night.  Robby and I both agreed that after she left we could finally relax a little.  She was just out of sorts towards the end of the night and SO very tired.

Congratulations Stefanie and Trey!!!  We love you both and can't wait to see pictures and hear all about your fabulous honeymoon in Hawaii!!!

Pre-Wedding Brunch

As if the weekend wasn't busy enough, I decided to host a pre-wedding brunch at our house on Saturday morning for all of our out of town family.  I felt like it would be a good way for us to get to visit with everyone before the big event that night.  I was really happy to have everyone here and Handley was the perfect tour guide.  She was very proud to show them her room, playroom, and toys.

Rehearsal Dinner

The rehearsal dinner was held downtown at Rhodes Hall.  It is an old house that was originally built for the founder of Rhodes Furniture.  It was a really neat location and looked like a castle from the outside.  We enjoyed a delicious BBQ dinner, had fun walking down memory lane as we watched their photo slideshow, and laughed as friends and family members told stories and gave toasts to the happy couple.

To say Handley had fun would be an understatement.  She was LOVING all the attention from my extended family and felt so big to be at the party.  She did SO well and stayed up until we left there at 10:30 PM. That was the latest she had ever been up before.  Of course she fell asleep as soon as we got in the car and slept in the next morning too.

Bridal Brunch

The wedding events started off with a bridal brunch at J. Christopher's in Dunwoody.  We enjoyed yummy food and had fun visiting with the other ladies.  I was excited for Handley and Harper to wear these dresses that my neighbor's mother made for them just after Harper was born.

Handley did not want to take her backpack off the entire time we were there!

This was the only wedding event that Harper would get to attend and she was such a doll.  She enjoyed being passed around and flashed her sweet smile for anyone who would hold her. Stefanie gave us all really nice gifts.  She also gave Handley a cute bag full of goodies to keep her happy.  She also got a pretty pearl bracelet to wear to the wedding.

Stefanie said she didn't want Harper to feel left out...
...so she got her this cute little onesie!

Riverside Park

Last week our playgroup took a field trip to Riverside Park in Roswell.  There are two large playgrounds, lots of room for picnics and a great "sprayground" area with fountains, sprinklers, and water features.  After letting the kids play and run around in the water we had a picnic lunch.  It was a fun outing and a great way to cool off in the heat.

This past weekend was Trey and Stefanie's wedding!  I have tons of pictures I'm trying to sort through and organize...plus I'm still waiting on some from other people too.  Check back soon for lots of pictures from the wedding festivities!
